The Reimagined Classroom
The Arcadia Classroom
In Arcadia Schools, the classroom is the heart of transformation. A design with breakout rooms surrounding a large classroom allows for a variety of student configurations and guided, small-group work. Scroll through the images below to get a better sense of how the classroom works.

The Classroom Re-imagined
The Classroom Team
Arcadia classrooms are ~2x the size of a typical classroom, include breakout spaces around the outside, and are led by a reimagined teacher team. Each classroom team consists of:

EXPERT TEACHER
1 PER CLASSROOM
The Expert Teacher leads instruction for a group of about 60 students. They are experienced, engaging educators who know how to make learning challenging and exciting. They also guide the full teaching team—helping everyone grow and ensuring each student gets what they need to succeed. The Expert Teacher is responsible for making sure students are learning at high levels and that the classroom runs smoothly every day.

LEAD TEACHER
1 PER CLASSROOM
Lead Teachers are licensed educators who provide extra academic support to students in smaller groups. They work closely with the Expert Teacher to plan lessons and give students targeted help when they need it. They also mentor Teaching Fellows and help make sure every student gets the attention and care they deserve.

TEACHING FELLOWS
3-4 PER CLASSROOM
Teaching Fellows are caring adults typically from the same community our students live in. They’re relationship-builders who work in small groups with students, helping them stay on track and feel supported. Fellows are also training to become future teachers or social workers, so they’re learning alongside students—and modeling what it looks like to grow, give back, and lead.
