The Reimagined School Model.

To address the persistent obstacles, we developed a new school model that revolutionizes the classroom through unique, research-based design elements
Key Design Elements
REDESIGNED CLASSROOMS
The Arcadia model transforms the classroom and the teacher team. Arcadia classrooms are approximately twice the size of a typical classroom and include breakout spaces. Each class consists of 60 students who are taught by a team of teachers and fellows, allowing for flexible grouping, more small group instructional time between teachers and students, and more targeted intervention and extension.

EFFECTIVE USE OF TEACHER TIME
The model provides structured time during the school day for teacher teams to engage in daily analysis of student work, which informs same-day regrouping of students and reteaching of material so students can accelerate their learning with no delay.

REIMAGINED TALENT PIPELINE
The Arcadia model redefines the role of the teacher and leverages existing talent. By differentiating roles, the model requires one Expert Teacher in each subject area to lead and support a small teaching team. An internal teacher pipeline is built into the model, recruiting Teaching fellows from student communities and developing them on the job.

STRATEGIC USE OF TECHNOLOGY
The Arcadia model integrates technology to enhance learning while preserving the mentor-mentee relationship. AI tools assist in personalized learning paths, real-time feedback, and data-driven instruction. Technology supports teachers in delivering differentiated instruction without replacing the human connection between teachers and students.
